Who we help

  • Catering companies

Businesses that need extra kitchen and service staff for busy periods and events. They want people who can step into a shift and follow the team's routine.

  • Warehousing and logistics operations

Warehouses facing seasonal order peaks. They need pickers, packers and general hands who are briefed on the tasks and ready for the shift pattern.

  • People seeking seasonal work

Workers looking for temporary jobs in catering or warehousing. They need clear information about the role, the hours and what is expected.

    Example

Summer kitchen team for a restaurant

A busy restaurant needed extra kitchen porters and line chefs for the summer. We recruited and screened candidates, arranged trial shifts, and kept a reserve list ready for the season.

  • man in gray shirt standing beside brown cardboard boxes
    Remy Gieling

    Example

Holiday peak at a fulfilment warehouse

A fulfilment warehouse expected a sharp rise in orders ahead of the holidays. We planned the intake by start date and recruited pickers and packers in waves across day and night shifts.

  • variety of food displayed on a table

    Example

Event crew for a catering company

An event caterer needed servers and bar staff for a run of weddings and functions. We built a pool of screened crew and confirmed start details with everyone before each event.

  • brown cardboard boxes on white metal rack

    Example

    Replacement cover during peak season

A distribution site lost several loading operatives partway through its peak. We placed screened workers from our reserve list and briefed them on site rules before their first shift.

About

Bayside Crew is a recruitment agency focused on seasonal work in catering and warehousing. We work in these two sectors only, so we understand the roles we fill: the pace of a busy kitchen service, the demands of a picking shift, and the hours both can involve. For employers, we find, screen, and place people for peak periods. For workers, we offer seasonal roles described honestly, with someone to talk to throughout. Our aim is simple: the right people in place when the season starts.

Why us

  • Two sectors, known well

We recruit only for catering and warehousing, so we understand the roles, shift patterns, and skills each one needs.

  • Screening before placement

We interview and check every candidate before putting them forward, so the people you meet are ready to start.

  • Reserve candidates on hand

For each season we keep a list of screened candidates who can step in when someone drops out.

  • Support through the season

Our work continues after the first shift. We check in with your managers and handle replacements and changes to numbers.

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us your needs

Share the roles, numbers, shift patterns, and start dates you need for the season.

  2. 2

    We recruit and screen

We advertise, interview, and check candidates, then send you a shortlist matched to each role.

  3. 3

    People start on site

Placed workers arrive with clear start instructions, ready for your induction and first shift.

  4. 4

    Ongoing seasonal support

During the season we check in, replace people when needed, and adjust numbers as demand changes.

What we stand for

  1. 01

    Clear briefs first

We agree on shifts, tasks and required skills before we search. Candidates arrive knowing what the job involves.

  2. 02

    Honest about the work

Workers hear the real hours, duties and conditions upfront. That means fewer surprises on the first shift and fewer early dropouts.

  3. 03

    Matching over volume

We put forward people who fit the role, whether that means a kitchen, a service floor or a warehouse aisle. Sending names just to fill a list is not how we work.

  4. 04

    Contact through the season

We check in with employers and workers while the season runs. Questions and small problems get handled before they affect the operation.

Questions

Which roles do you recruit for?

In catering, we recruit kitchen porters, chefs, waiting staff, bar staff, and event crew. In warehousing, we recruit pickers, packers, goods in and dispatch operatives, and loading crew. All of these are seasonal placements for busy periods.

How far ahead should we contact you before our busy season?

As early as you can. Larger intakes need time to plan, advertise, and screen. Get in touch once you know your season dates. We will then build a hiring timeline that works back from your first shift.

What should we prepare before getting in touch?

Have a rough idea of the roles you need, how many people, your shift patterns, and your start and end dates. Any site rules or induction material is helpful too. We can work out the rest together.

Can you help when someone drops out mid-season?

Yes. We keep a reserve list of screened candidates during each season. If someone leaves or is not working out, we offer a replacement from that list and brief them on your site before their first shift.

Do you check candidates before they start?

Every candidate is interviewed, references are followed up, and right-to-work documents are verified before placement. We also confirm their availability for the season. You agree with us at the start which extra checks your roles require.
